I Will Find You ("the app") lets you write a message, send it out into the world, and hear back from a stranger who finds it. This page explains what we collect to make that work and what we don't.
We don't collect precise GPS location, your real name (unless you choose to use it), or your device contacts.
To operate the core features — matching your thrown bottles with other users, running chat, showing the Harbor wall, and tracking your coin balance. Your general location is shown alongside content you post (e.g. "from Lisbon, Portugal") so the exchange feels real; it is never precise enough to locate you. Usage activity and IP addresses (see above) are used only for understanding how the app is used and for security/abuse prevention — never shown to other users, never sold, and not used for location-based features (your general location field, which you provide yourself, is what powers those).
You can block any user and report any message or post. Reported content is reviewed and automatically hidden once it receives multiple reports. We keep a record of reports and blocks to enforce this.
I Will Find You is an 18+ product and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; accounts are rejected at signup if the stated age is under 18.
If you believe you've encountered content that endangers a child, contact our designated safety team directly:
